Liv adopted Santa Fe as her forever home after retiring from 20 years of public service in California. With her husband, David Maestas Esq., a Santefecino, they relocated their family to David’s hometown of Santa Fe from Sacramento, California. Liv earned her BA in English Literature from U.C. Berkeley and Juris Doctorate from J.F.K. Law School. David retired as Assistant General Counsel from Batelle nonprofit with a specialty in employment and labor relations. Liv is the founder and executive director of Ignited Minds, a nonprofit tutoring New Mexican students. During non-COVID times, Liv and David keep busy keeping up their sons’ lives, their granddaughter, traveling, gardening and staying fit. David dreams of traveling and Liv dreams of riding horses.
