Dean Gerber is a founding member of MathAmigos and its Cuisenaire Rods program. Over the years he has served as workshop instructor, teacher mentor, and helped set the course for MathAmigos. Dean is a long-standing member of the Santa Fe Alliance for Science and has been co-coordinator of the SFPS Science Fair Project, which reaches over 3000 students. Dr. Gerber has a BS in mathematics from Cal Tech, and a PhD in Mathematical Science from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Science. He was a Research Staff Member at IBM’s Watson Research Center for 25 years. He has been deeply involved in science education for SFPS.
