Barbara Bianchi

Barbara Bianchi joined MathAmigos in 2018 and has been both as a MathAmigos workshop instructor and in-class coach for teachers. She is a contributing author to MathAmigos’ Stories With Math workbook and has worked on numerous special projects, including MathAmigos’ website. Barbara began her career in public education as an elementary school teacher, teaching kindergarten through grade 4 for nearly 20 years in Wisconsin, Arizona, and Santa Fe. In Santa Fe she became a district-level mentor teacher for Santa Fe Public Schools. Barbara earned her masters degree in Education Administration and Supervision and was a state administrator and manager for ten years at the New Mexico Public Education Department.

Bob Bogart

Bob Bogart joined MathAmigos in 2018 and has served as MathAmigos’ webmaster ever since.   Bob has extensive IT and website development experience.  Before going virtual Bob developed some of the first CT Scanners, MRI Scanners, and Surgical Lasers.  Bob has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon, a Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of MD, and an MBA from George Washington University.  When not online, Bob can be found riding his bike with the Santa Fe Seniors On Bikes. 

Peter McWain

Peter McWain is SFPS Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Peter has founded several high schools, including Carlsbad Early College High School, New Visions Sustainable Community Academy, and the New Roots Charter School in Ithaca, New York. He has beena program coordinator, principal, instructional coach, as well as dean of students and taught science, math and social studies in grades 6-12.  Peter holds a M.S.Ed. in Science Education from the State University of New York and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.

Gary Clendenen (Emeritus Member)

Gary Clendenen joined MathAmigos in 2017 and served as MathAmigos’ co-lead for three years. He spearheaded the creation of MathAmigos’ website and developed the MathAmigos’ Stories With Math program and FUN Math Activities workbooks. Both books have been printed and distributed to Santa Fe elementary school teachers and are available online for parents to use with their children. Gary has a BS and MS in Mathematics and a PhD in Business Administration with a focus on operations. He has taught math at Palo Alto Community College in San Antonio, Texas, was a professor of business, published in numerous academic journals, and continues to write college level textbooks in Business Mathematics.

Roberta Colton (Emeritus Member)

Roberta Colton joined MathAmigos in 2018 and has served in many key roles, including as co-lead and currently as board member. Roberta is a lawyer with over thirty years of experience in commercial real estate and corporate law. She served on the Board of Trustees of a District of Columbia public charter school for six years, where she headed the School Expansion Committee which added high school to the middle school. She chaired the board for four years. Roberta received her B.A. from Stanford University and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
