Our History
In 2018, MathAmigos offered four teacher Training Workshops and one Math Family (party) Night at Sweeney Elementary School. Our program focuses on 2nd – 4th grade teachers from the five Airport Road Corridor schools. The workshops take place on Saturdays from 9 to 2:00 and each teacher competing a workshop received a stipend of $150.
An average of 30 teachers have attended each workshop. Two hundred and fifty parents, family members, and kids participated in our Math Family Night. The feedback from teachers and kids has been very positive!
